I have lived in Yeonhui-dong since 2001. In 2013, I worked on my first residence renovation project; a house on the peak of Yeonhui-dong. During construction,
I was perceived as a ruthless construction manager intent on disrupting the peace for neighbouring residents. I was so afraid of randomly running into those
more disgruntled citizens during the holidays that I had to do my grocery shopping out of town. I promised myself back then that it would be my last town project, but in 2018, I ended up doing a second town project, titled ¡®Alley in the House¡¯. This time, I was an unforgiving designer. Because of the demanding nature of the site and its design, the construction period was longer than expected. In the midst of it all, largely due to my obstinacy, the project manager became depressed. My wind-battered construction cover dirtied the town. I feel a need to explain to the client and other associated individuals why I had no other choice but this course of action.
