SPACE May 2026 (No. 702)

The Busan North Port Marina was planned as part of the first phase of the Busan North Port Redevelopment. After winning the design competition hosted by the Busan Port Authority (BPA) in 2018, Junglim Architecture focused on enhancing public accessibility for a facility type that is often restricted. The terrace-like massing, synchonising with the marina¡¯s outdoor space, maximises the access to natural light and offers views of the mooring facilities and the Marine Culture District. The revetment where the sea meets the land was used to its full length to improve connectivity with the docks and increase the interface with amenities.
