A Proposal for Suburban Live-Work Housing
In light of the pandemic, advances in communication technologies, and the development of AI, everyday life is rapidly transforming. The decline of regional cities and population decrease are reshaping both housing possibilities and social perceptions of the home. This project proposes a new housing model for suburban areas that integrates urban and rural conditions, offering a sustainable alternative.
Living, Working, and the Future
Technological progress is dissolving the boundary between work and life, merging them into a unified daily experience. Housing and work are no longer separate but operate together across diverse spatial conditions. To minimise social costs, these spaces are designed for easy conversion into other programmes such as exhibition or cultural spaces.
Differentiation and Integration
Functional spaces for living and working are differentiated through layers and unified through the medium of nature. These individual spaces, connected by the natural environment, maintain flexibility depending on the situation.
