A designer¡¯s time is often consumed more by the iterative implementation process – revising, reviewing, and reflecting – than by the initial conceptualisation. Modern design practices demand high precision and the handling of large-scale drawings, while 3D visualisation is becoming increasingly vital for review and communication. Consequently, the burden of repetitive processes and data conversion has grown. ZYX Technology addresses these challenges with two technological pillars: ZYXCAD AX, an AI solution that optimises repetitive CAD workflows, and ZYX SPACE, which extends 2D drawings into 3D models and visualisations.
ZYXCAD AX is a domestic AI CAD solution specialised for design environments characterised by frequent, high-precision reviews and rapid revisions. Developed to automate the repetitive processes inherent in architectural design, it offers over 440 AI-based automation features. These include layer organisation, object placement, and quantity surveying; in-house benchmarks show it can reduce the time required to complete a design by more than 50%. It provides full compatibility with .dwg and .dxf formats, as well as .ifc and .step formats used in 3D BIM programs. Furthermore, its loading speed for large-scale drawings is more than 50% faster than competing CAD products.
The practical impact of ZYXCAD AX is best illustrated through its diverse use cases. EAN R&C adopted the software for high-end projects requiring a high precision of detail, such as Van Cleef & Arpels Seoul Maison and DIOR Seongsu, citing its processing speed and high compatibility. EGA GROUP noted that the software¡¯s performance – allowing even ¡®complex elevation designs to open in just 2 to 3 seconds¡¯ – has fundamentally transformed their workflow rhythm. Meanwhile, ATOP reported that specialised architectural features, such as the solar rights limit review function, have significantly improved both work speed and error management.
ZYX SPACE is a 3D spatial design platform built on ZYX Technology¡¯s AI foundation model. It is designed to instantaneously convert images and 2D drawings into 3D models and is seamlessly integrated with data from ZYXCAD AX. Using Drawing Vision Transformer (ViT) technology, the AI system learns the pixel-level structures of drawings to automatically generate detailed designs and 3D renderings. ZYX Technology describes this as a ¡®2D to 3D Real-time Bridge¡¯. The platform consists of three modules: CITY Simulates urban facilities and infrastructure using GIS map data, HOUSE Provides real-time previews of finishes and furniture layouts through AI auto-rendering and PIPE Supports path design for drainage and refrigerant pipes based on AI drawing recognition. These modules reflect ZYX Technology¡¯s strategic focus on converting design data into 3D environments and expanding into the realms of urban planning, architecture, interiors, and mechanical systems.

Major firms that have adopted ZYX Technology include construction leaders like Samsung C&T and WOOMI Co., Ltd.; design groups such as NOW Architects, EGA GROUP, MUA GONGGAN, and OWL DESIGN; and public institutions like the Korea Aerospace Research Institute and the Agency for Defense Development. Additionally, the company provides free licenses to major institutions, including Seoul National University, Yonsei University, KAIST, and Korea University. While advancing its AI capabilities through technical cooperation (MOU) with NC AI, it is simultaneously expanding into the Japanese and U.S. markets, alongside growth in Southeast Asia centred in Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia. CEO Choi Jong-bok stated, ¡®Design is a creative act of giving shape to human dreams using the language of CAD¡¯, underscoring the company¡¯s vision to develop technologies that empower design creativity.
