On Dec. 10, the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family selected ‘Fluid: A Place to Mark Milestones in Life’ for the design competition of the National Women’s History Museum, designed by G.S Architects & Associates (co-principals, Kim Yongmi, Lee Seokbeom). The competition was held to invite proposals for a new cultural complex to complement the confined space and limited accessibility to The National Women's History Exhibition Hall in the Goyang Regional Government Complex. The winning work received excellent evaluations for the ways it creates an attractive sense of space by integrating the surrounding green landscape with the exhibition space, forming a continuous system and planning an organic space in careful consideration of museum operations. The National Women’s History Museum is expected to be completed by 2024.
