ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a freelance junior Urban Planner/Architect/Engineer to work in Seoul supporting the project as a local team member with the City and Territory Consulting Business Line.

The main functions will consist of liaison with the Korean client in the preparation of Territorial and Urban Master Plans of new cities and productive complexes, as well as supporting the coordination of technical feasibility studies for a variety of involved disciplines: strategic development, economic feasibility, mobility, civil works, roads and infrastructure, architectural concept, landscaping, territorial adaptation to climate change and decarbonization.

The candidate should have experience in the preparation of feasibility studies and reports in the field of regional planning, new cities, land use planning, and architectural concept designs, especially related to urban & infrastructure strategy and master planning.

Experience in Korean background is an important asset.

ABOUT YOU

Apply if you…

o You have studied Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Urban Studies. A Master's degree in Urban Design, Regional Development, Climate Change Adaptation, Landscape Architecture, or Urban Economics is an advantage.
o You have 3 to 6 years’ experience in planning projects or related fields.
o You are a native Korean and have advanced English. Knowledge of other languages would be an asset.
o Willingness to support the local coordination with the client, as a dynamic and proactive person with good communication skills.
o You work autonomously and have an innovative mindset while considering yourself to be a team player with a good technical background.
o Previous experience working in multicultural environments (Asia, Europe, Americas, Middle East, etc.) is an asset.
o Knowledge of Office package, AutoCAD, Adobe package, and digitizing software and tools such as GIS, or the Adobe package.
o Above all... you are eager to develop your professional career in collaboration with an international company like IDOM.
